So yesterday we had our carols in the square,
like last year, only with snow this time round and mulled wine to warm us before we started, which helped the singing no end and left us all jolly. But today, after no more than an hour out shopping, I felt like my soul had been sucked out. So, if you need a restorative and have not found them already, there are
more carols here, courtesy of our
Poet Laureate (and others). Read them out loud, listen to Carol's bee carol. Get enough of a buzz to raise the spirits again.

We have carols in our square too but I find them overwhelming and don't go. I nearly went this year - then didn't.
I'll take a look at your links.

I love carols, especially if there's a proper brass band as well.
Shopping at any time of year can suck the soul out of you - at this time of year it's particularly traumatic! However I do like a good sing song, especially carols - and as for mulled wine....
I love all the traditional carols. And, yes, they make me cry.
